General Review
• We received many competition entries, full with ideas and enthusiasm concerning the urban creation of a new area in Osaka by a wide scope of participants from Japan and abroad.
• The main subject of this competition is a new paradigm of urban creation in the 21st century. The entries which proposed the image of this new paradigm were valued highly.
• The entries which proposed a vision for a new urban center with emphasis of a high ideal, feasibility or realization possibility were selected, despite some possible implementation problems.
• Not only the award-winners but also all entries contained excellent ideas and advices concerning the future urban creation of Osaka. Based on the competition results we hope to create an attractive concept for community building and furthermore to implement it in the actual community building and urban planning process. |
